A sore little boy

Good Morning All....
Well...Nicholas had his surgery and it went pretty good. They took him in at 10:45am and he starting crying. I think he thought that he was being taken away from us. Dr. Hussain came in at 12:30pm and said surgery went well. We got to see him at 1pm and he was really out of it. They were concerned as his blood pressure was really high (150/84). Eventually it went down. Starting at 4:30 he began vomiting blood. He did it 6 times, finally the last one was at 10:30pm which he did all over Mom. Ah...the joys of motherhood. He has a pretty quiet night and got up 2 times for the bathroom. So far we got him to take 6 sips of water which is normal. Right now they are trying to find a happy medium for the pain medication. THe dose yesterday kept him asleep. He is more alert today but is in more pain. Hopefully they will call the Dr today and see if they can give him some tylenol. He has to wear arm splints so he does not touch his mouth. He will have to wear them for 2 weeks. He also in an oxygen tent but it is used for moisture. HE is not too thrilled being in there as he wakes up scared. Last night Ron and Lynn H. came to see us which was great! The staff and the hospital are phenomenal. We are so impressed with the care they are giving Nicholas. That is it for now. Keep us in your prayers!
Nicholas, Stacy and Doug!

Thanks for the update, Stacey. We've been thinking of y'all. Galina had tubes put in her ears and little Valerie will be getting glasses. And, besides the colds, we've all been doing well.
